Sovereign Opens in Dubai Sovereign is proud to be a part of Dubai’s emergence as a major global financial center. In May 2008 we received approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC). Sovereign Risk Insurance (Dubai) Ltd. is headed by Nila Davda, one of our most capable and experienced Senior Underwriting Officers. Our operation in Dubai formally opened in August 2008 and is focusing on working with our existing clients who have moved regional teams to Dubai as well as on developing relationships with new clients, including financial institutions, equity investors and official agencies.
