Dave's responsibilities at Sovereign include deal team leadership for structured, syndicated projects, particularly in the infrastructure and resource sectors, portfolio management, and relationship management for brokers and most ECA clients. Dave is also past Chairman of the Investment Insurance Committee of the Berne Union, an association of public and private insurers from around the world.

Dave joined Sovereign from a 23-year career at Export Development Canada (EDC), Canada's national export credit and investment insurance agency. He worked in several areas at EDC, including claims, before specializing in Political Risk Insurance in 1985. As EDC's Chief Underwriter for PRI, Dave was responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of all aspects of the program. Dave has a BCom from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
